What is the best powder for oily/sensitive skin?

Hi, I have really oily, sensitive skin. Almost every make up makes me break out. I've tried chanel and prescriptive foundations. I'm thinking about trying a powder. I'm only 19 so I want somethings that has pretty light coverage. Maybe mineral make up?What is the best powder for oily/sensitive skin?
I have only one word for you hun, CLINIQUE, the are the best for sensitive, acne, allergic, etc skin. I use them and I totally trust and recommend them to anyone, They have a big selection on everything they sell, you will be able to find their products at any macys store, sephora and clinique.comWhat is the best powder for oily/sensitive skin?
OK. First of all, everyone's skin type is different. But I will tell you this anyways :)

Cover Girl. I've been using it for a couple years now and I think it works pretty good. There are 2 kinds though. I get the one with the in the case with a silver sticker in the middle of a clear top cover. I find the powder in the solid silver case breaks out my face. I don't know why..? I'm sorry that I don't have exact details about them lol just what the case looks like. The foundation with the Olay moisturizer will make your face look and feel oilier. Mineral make-up is hoaky. The people who sell it just want to make you think it works better. It probably really doesn't. You could try it though. Everyone's skin is different anyways.. Finding the perfect cover up sucks, I know lol
Neutrogena Powder Foundation with SPF 20
Mineral make-up is good for sensitive skin as it doesn't contain comedogenic agents that many liquid formulas have. There are many different brands of mineral foundation on the market, personally, I like Smooth Minerals: http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.aspx?pf_id=37490

Can anyone recommend a powder/bronzer that does not cause any breakouts?

My skin is clear, but its very delicate and breaks out if i use any pore clogging foundations. I can't use anything with oil especially mineral oil since it makes me breakout. I hate wearing makeup due to this, but this winter is making me look really pale so i need some sort of powder/blush/bronzer to use to give me a healthy glow. Any tips as well? Can anyone recommend a powder/bronzer that does not cause any breakouts?
My skin is very bad with makeup as well. I have found that bear minerals is like a goddess for your skin. I have even fallen asleep with it on by accident and did not get breakouts from it. It has cover-up in it, it has bronzer. It has like every shade in the starter kit and its really good to have around. I use it in photo shoots too. It makes your skin look flawlessCan anyone recommend a powder/bronzer that does not cause any breakouts?
My skin is sensitive too ! I find wearing tan works better for me because it lasts longer and it doesnt cause any breakouts. Use a tan that you can gradually build up, the one I use is NO.7 its not too dark and it looks natural.
try lotioning up. but i dont know if the makeup i use it mineral oil, but i know its mineral and its by loreal.

Can you make sugar cookies w/o vanilla extract & baking powder?

If so do you have a recipe? Can you make sugar cookies w/o vanilla extract %26amp; baking powder?
I have - lots of times.

Use the recipe you have and just omit those 2 ingredients.

Baking powder only makes them rise...so, who cares if they're flat, right?

And I never really ';taste'; the vanilla (do you?) but for flavor, maybe add a little cinnamon to the mix.Can you make sugar cookies w/o vanilla extract %26amp; baking powder?
You asked earlier about what to make with a set of ingredients, right?

Since you want to have something sweet, don't worry about not having all the ingredients. Just use what you have. The sugar cookies won't rise without the baking powder, and they won't taste the same without vanilla, but it will be something for your sweet tooth.

The other option is to put the frosting on plain bread.

It's a good idea to keep things like vanilla and baking powder in your cupboard so that you can bake something when you have a sugar attack. Pick out a few simple cookie recipes and keep the dry ingredients on hand. You could also get all the ingredients, make the dough, separate it into bakeable pieces, freeze them, and bake them as the mood strikes.
Use another flavoring in lieu of the vanilla. Try orange extract, this will give your recipe a unique burst of citrus. Another favorite is almond extract.

For the baking soda substitute 1 t. of baking powder with a mixture of 1/4 t. baking soda and 1/2 t. cream of tarter.
You can do without the vanilla, but not without the baking powder.
with vainilla itself

Exactly how much salt needs to be added to garlic powder to equal garlic salt?

the recipe calls for 1 tsp garlic salt to taste but i only own garlic powder.

i don't know if mixing salt with garlic powder is the same as garlic salt but i hope it is.

fast answer please!Exactly how much salt needs to be added to garlic powder to equal garlic salt?
4 tsp salt plus 1 tsp garlic powderExactly how much salt needs to be added to garlic powder to equal garlic salt?
If KM's ratio is correct, you need 4 parts salt to one part garlic.

I would mix up one teaspoon of garlic powder and 4 teaspoons of salt, then measure out your teaspoon of garlic salt from your mixture, and save the rest for later.

It's too hard to measure a tiny fraction of a teaspoon otherwise.

  • Will a chicken curry powder expire?

I bought a chicken curry powder in a bottle of course and used it for my recipe. I kept it at my cabinet. A year passed without my chicken curry powder used because i forgot about it. I may sound like stupid, but I'm asking if it will expire or not because there is no expiration date printed anywhere on the container/bottle.Will a chicken curry powder expire?
Probably not as long as you bought it fresh. My husband has trouble getting the spice mixtures he wants and brings a lot back from Pakistan. I haven't gotten sick or died yet. 8-)

I would use it up fairly quickly tho and get some new. And don't put it in the back of the cabinet again!

These 'kitchen expert' shows and people keep telling us that we should replace our spices every 6 months, but I don't. They will loose their punch after opened so if you want fresh, buy fresh. Will a chicken curry powder expire?
yes, it'll expire.... but i still use my expired curry powder.... well, my expired like 2 or 3 months.... i'm still alive.... so, if u really wanna try it... do it fast.... or just get new one....^^
If it was never opened, it might still be good to use. but if opened, it has probably lost some of its potency
    It doesnt expire usually

At the most u may spread it out in the sun to take away unwanted moisture if any.
ive had some of my spices for years(well at least 2-3) and its ok, they dont cost the earth to replace, but i always use mine in my curries and theyre fine. my mum used to work in a herbal apothicary and got me big bags full of spices, just use it its fime, mine always turn out nice anyway.
It does not exactly expire, but depending on how you store it you can see a lot of flavor loss. I have found this particularly to be the case with highly flavored spice mixtures like curry powder rather than individual spices like cinnamon.

You can prolong the life of any spice by storing it in an airtight container in the freezer - a handy trick for some of the more expensive things you might not use often like cardamom.

And of course, buy things in small quantities that you will use up quickly. There are a number of companies online that provide bulk spices at very good prices. Great places to look if you want something unusual. I buy many of my spices, though, in ';bulk'; at the local ';health food'; store because I can buy just a tablespoon of something if that is all I need. We just clean and refill spice jars.
Well Im not sure but what I do know is if you dont have it in an air tight container ( not the one it came in ) like Tupperware seasoning containers it can get buggy. To see if it has just pour a little out onto wax paper away from a draft and let it sit over night if it has any bugs ( cant see them with naked eye) you Will see trails leading out of the pile.

What's a good chocolate muffin recipe (w/choc powder, not chips)?

Alternatively, a recipe for chocolate cake or brownies that can be adapted for chocolate muffins. Thanks :)What's a good chocolate muffin recipe (w/choc powder, not chips)?
You can ommit the nuts if you dont want them in there

These are deep, dark and chocolatey - truly amazing when one considers what they don't have in them. No eggs or milk, great for lactose intolerant or those with dairy allergies. The crunchy walnut-maple sugar topping is a nice touch. Feel free to substitute regular milk if desired.

    Ingredients

Nonstick vegetable oil cooking spray, for preparing the pan

1 1/4 cups whole wheat pastry flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder (not Dutch-processed alkalized)

    1/2 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon Baking powder

    1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt

3/4 cup soy milk or regular milk

1/2 cup liquid fruit juice concentrate or Fruit Juice Reduction Recipe

    1/4 cup canola oil

    2/3 cup chopped walnuts, divided

2 Tablespoons maple sugar or brown sugar

    Instructions

    Mixing Instructions:

Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat to 350掳. Lightly spray a (2 1/2-X 1 1/2-inch) muffin pan with nonstick vegetable spray or line with muffin cups.

Sift the flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt into a medium bowl and make a well in the center.

In another medium bowl, whisk the fruit juice concentrate, milk and oil until frothy. Pour into the well and stir with a wooden spoon just until combined. Fold in 1/3 cup of the chopped walnuts. Do not overbeat.

In a small bowl, combine the remaining walnuts with the maple sugar. Spoon the batter into 9 of the prepared muffin cups, filling each cup almost completely full. Sprinkle the tops of the muffins with the maple-walnut mixture.

    Baking Instructions:

Bake the muffins until a toothpick inserted in the centers comes out clean and the tops spring back when pressed with a finger, 18 to 20 minutes. Cool for 2 minutes, then run a knife around the inside of the cups to release the muffins, and remove from the cups. Serve the muffins warm or at room temperature. Makes 9 muffins. What's a good chocolate muffin recipe (w/choc powder, not chips)?
There is a book by Duncan HInes that bases on their recipes on their cake mix. I recently made a batch of chocolate muffins using their Devil Food cake mix. It does call for the chips but can be omitted since the cake mix is so chocolatey anyways. The book is called Cake Mix Magic or you can probably look up the recipe ont he Duncan hines site.

What is Baking Powder used for?

like could it make ur muffins bigger or..??What is Baking Powder used for?
You can add baking powder to make things fluffy. Be careful with how much you add or you will have a mess. Try putting a little in water to see what happens. What is Baking Powder used for?
i agree with answer 1, and also to bake with.
Baking powder is a leavener. It contains an acid and an alkaline which when exposed to heat and/or fluid combine to produce carbon dioxide. The CO2 is released during cooking causing your baked item to rise.

It will not blow up and is NOT for cleaning. Baking SODA is used for cleaning.

    Chef Mark
Baking powder is for baking, however if you use self-rising flour you don't need baking powder. Baking powder makes breads, cakes and cookies rise,be light and fluffy.
    To make crack.
Its good for cleaning and deodorizing your refridgerator.

    Also for cooking of course.
    baking powder makes things rise
    cooking,deodorize refrigerator, and helps cleaning!!!
yes for making muffins and cookies
    It helps it to rise!
its used as a rising agent you know to make cakes muffins ect its to make things softer and fluffy
Baking powder is used in muffin mixture to help with rising .
well it might not make them bigger but i believe it helps stuff rise and be fluffier, plus it is great for cleaning
u have to be careful and only use baking powder when required by the receipe. It will blow up.
Just another ingredient, could'nt tell ya speciffically....But I'd like to see it make your muffin bigger.

Does the Chanel powder foundation has a flawless finish?

i have a coworker that insist on wearing the chanel powder foundation but everytime i see her skin it shows alot of spots, and not that flawless look and she tells me how xpensive it is. i think i get a better cover with my m.a.c makeup, but i was wondering how really works.Does the Chanel powder foundation has a flawless finish?
I use Chanel makeup, and after using it, I will never go back to MAC! My skin is pretty good without makeup, so Teint Innocence and Poudre Universelle work very well for me. If your coworker has blemished skin, she may just need to use one of the heavier foundations like Vitalumiere. Chanel makes several different types of foundations, all of which have different types of coverage....unlike MAC whose foundations are all heavy and ';made-up'; looking. Chanel is the best foundation that I have tried so far, very natural looking, long wearing and light textured. My blog has pics of me wearing it...and it looks just like my skin....Does the Chanel powder foundation has a flawless finish?
dont buy chanel i mean i know it's great but so pricey! bare escentuals makeup is wonderful it has a gorgeous light finish and it's half the price. i use it i love it! Good Luck!!

http://www.recipes4cakes.com/pound_cakes鈥?/a>Canu make pound cake without vanilla exctract and baking powder?
    Hello,

I have 2 family recipes that do not include baking powder. Try using cake flour, it makes a difference. And the vanilla extract is used if that is the flavor you desire. You can use lemon, coconut, or any other flavoring. I was recently told that if you use a little vanilla extract w/ another flavor it helps bring that other out more.
yes. but put some other kind of flavoring in there if you dont have vanilla: something like coconut, almond, lemon, brandy, something! If you're going to buy ingredients, just get some vanilla! Imitation is ok and cheaper, too.

What is the difference between yeast and baking powder when making waffle?
This is just bad information. The Belgians have been making waffles with yeast for a very long time. Most tasters find yeast-leavened waffles to be lighter and crispier than chemically-leavened waffles. Yeast is VERY good for waffles...you just need to start them the night before. Report Abuse

I also highly recommend bacondebaker's answer below. There IS such a thing as yeast waffles. (...and your recipe rocks!) Report Abuse

You don't use yeast to make waffles. The heat from the waffle iron would totally kill the yeast. Yeast is organic, and baking powder is chemical. It would like the difference between cake donuts and raised donuts, totally different lightness, flavor and texture.
there is so such thing as yeast waffles, and once you start making them you won't go back they are sight they are like eating potato chips you can't stop!

    yeast waffles recipe

will need a large bowl, because like all yeast products it will rise.

2 cups milk and 1 stick , put these in a small pan and warm on medium low heat till butter is melted.

while the milk and butter are warming, start next step.

1/2 cup of warm water , about 95 degrees warm to skin.

1 small package of active yeast, put water in your bowl and add pk. of yeast, let this work about 10 min.

    3 cups all purpose flour

    1tsp salt

1tsp sugar, theses next three ingedints add to the yeast and water after the 10 min. then add the milk mixture to the flour make sure milk not to hot. mix this all togather by hand or mixer till smooth ,cover. let stand over night, might put bowl in sink, because if bowl isn't large enough it will run over.

next morning add 2 beaten eggs and1/2 tsp baking soda to the batter and stir in good.

heat your waffle iron good and hot, this next part can be a little tricky and you might have to play with it a little. use about 1/2 the batter you might regularlly use because it is thin and runs. once you close youy waffle iron , mine takes a bout 5 minutes to bake, they will be nice and brown and crispy, i also preheat my oven on warm that way you can get a bunch fixed and everybody can eat to gather, if you don't you won't be able to keep up and you will never get to eat,ha! if there is any left over it can stay good in frig a couple of days .

i know this recipe looks like a lot of work, buts its worth it , hope you enjoy!
self--rising flour works wonders for waffles...but usually waffles you use pancake mix or bisquick. Yeast is for home made breads and rolls.

melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 1 minute, then put some butter in (depending on how thin you want it to be), and melt that in the microwave for 30 seconds. :) it also tastes really good on ice cream. :DSubstituting cocoa powder?
For every 1/4 C Cocoa, or 4 tablespoons in the recipe, use

1 ounce chocolate AND (decrease fat called for in recipe by 1/2 tablespoon) *the fat would be the butter or oil...

((I would guess 1 oz of chocolate chips equals about 1/2 to 3/4 of a cup))

    HTH

~I think you can leave the cc as they are OR melt them - to your preference.

What's a good makeup foundation powder that I can find in drugstores?

I want a powder that I can wear that won't clog pores. What's a good makeup foundation powder that I can find in drugstores?
I would love to recommend Za foundation powder. It has a great formula to brighten my skin tone and meanwhile it won't clog my pores. Besides, it creates a natural finish and it has 20SPF PA++ as well. Try it!!! *wink*What's a good makeup foundation powder that I can find in drugstores?
physicians formula is a mineral based makeup that's supposed to help the condition of your face while giving you great coverage and it stays on i love the whole line!
    I would recommend Physician's Formula.

It's BEST for sensitive skin and for all other skin types too!

It goes on really smooth and gives a great natural look.

    Good Luck! =)
I'd say check out Physicians Formula.

It will be better for your skin %26amp; there are other products they sell besides foundation that you may want to try.

What is the weight of a powder coat paint job?

I need to determine the weight of a powder coat paint job.

All I know is the square footage of the paintjob (i.e. 6.6 sqft).

Any ideas? What is the weight of a powder coat paint job?
Do you know the density? What is the weight of a powder coat paint job?
There are least 7 different base materials/resins used for powder coating, and obviously, coating thickness of the job (can range from 25um to 80um depending upon the application) has a dramatic effect on the weight of the end result.

A pound of powder will typically cover between 50 and 100 square feet, so for your 6.6, I'd estimate anywhere between 1/16# and 1/8# of material.

Again, not knowing your specific power coat material and application, only a rough guess like this is possible.

What kind of baby washing powder/liquid do I need to use?

I was wanting Dreft b/c that's what others' have taught me to use on washing newborn clothes, blankets and so on. My husband wants to know why it needs to be Dreft. Is it specially formulated just for babies? What kind of baby washing powder/liquid do I need to use?
IT really does not have to be dreft....there are all kinds of soaps you can use for baby! I use the Free and Clear store brand when I am running low on money and the name brand when I actually have the money for it.Both my daughters have eczema really bad and can not use perfumed or colored detergent or the same as fabric softener(they now make free and clear fabric softener just for babies that smells like dreft) if I use anything else they break out in a rash really badly.

You can use free and clear (free of perfumes and dyes) soap...any brand you prefer,Baby All,Dreft,Baby Purex,or you can even use the same kind you use....until you use one you will not know if baby is allergic to it(developes rash due to clothes being washed in it) so just use what you use at first...and if that doesn't work out then move on to the free and clears...and then the baby soaps..or if you can afford the baby soaps then just get those because its the same as free and clear soaps..they are formulated for sensitive skin(no matter if its baby or adult using it)....and if you end up having to use the free and clear and want that baby fragrance on their clothes then seek out the baby fabric softener which has the dreft scent to it but it still sensitive enough for baby's skin.

All it is,is process of elimination.

Good LuckWhat kind of baby washing powder/liquid do I need to use?
we have 6 kids and have used the same thing for all of them since the birth of our first one or probably before. We use the pink(light ir dark) spree with fluffy concentrate and even though its expensive it well worth it.There is also many types of baby washing powder and fluffy avail in your local supermarket, you dont just have to use the one brand,I suggest try a range of different laundry products and see which one you like the best.
Alot of babies have very sensitive skin and Dreft is hypoallergenic and scent free, and dye free... I think its Tide that has a scent free hypoallergenic one that is just the same and about a dollar cheaper. If your baby doesn't have sensitive skin, I have heard of mothers just using regular soap.

    Good luck!
You can really use any laundry detergent as long as it doesn't irritate your baby's skin. I personally use All free and clear because it has no dyes or perfumes. It is also nice because I don't have to wash the baby's clothes in seperate loads. I just wash them with the rest of the family's clothes.
It doesn't need to be Dreft. You probably do want to get a detergent that is perfume and dye free, because most newborns have sensitive skin. Some grow out of it, some don't. (My 7 month old has sensitive skin, my 8 year old nephew does as well). Most of the big brand detergents will make a free and clear type of detergent-- I know for sure that All, Tide, and Arm %26amp; Hammer have dye/perfume free detergents, they're just as good as Dreft, but much cheaper.
Dreft is free of dyes and perfumes. We used the generic target version and then switched to all free and clear. Baby's skin is just so sensitive, so that's why we used it. Our oldest kept getting rashes with regular detergent. Good luck. :) I think they make fabric softener too now.
Dreft is soap, rather than detergent. That's great because it is less likely to irritate baby's skin, HOWEVER, Dreft also takes out all the flame retardent in baby clothes, so don't use it on sleepers, blankets or sheets!
all makes a baby detergent also. I think babies r us carries some other brand also. its supposed to be good and gentle for babies skin.. and it smells good. My daughter is 3mos old now and I just do her laundry w/all of ours. she doesnt seem to have any allergies or sensitive skin.
It is dye and fragrence free but you dont have to use dreft. I use purex and both of my babies have been just fine, no rashes no itches no nothing. Its up to you to use what you want, but I wouldnt waste the money just to have it. Good luck.
I just use detergent with no dye or scent to it. All, Purex, Arm'n'Hammer, they all make it and its a lot cheaper then Dreft. I just use the Purex Hypoallergetic one for everyones clothes.
It has less chemicals and it is also perfume free so babies are less likely to be allergic to it. Really though i find that using other perfume free detergents have been ok with my boys too.
I use Charlie's Soap - a completely residue free detergent. It's a great product, check out the website at charliesoap.com

I bought it to wash my cloth diapers and like it so much that I use it on all of our clothes.
    Ummm, fluffy?

What is the difference between detergent powder and soap powder?is soap flakes same as soap powder?

which is the best for a fully automatic washing machine? What is the difference between detergent powder and soap powder?is soap flakes same as soap powder?
I doubt that you can buy soap powder anymore. Soap is made from lye and oil, grease, whatever. Detergents are made from petrochemicals. For laundry, detergents are a big improvement over regular soap, because they clean better and rinse out much, much better. However, if you can find a bar of old fashioned lye soap, it's great for getting stains out of laundry. Rub it on the stain (especially ring around the collar) before you put the clothes in the washing machine.

For personal use, soap, especially glycerin soap, is better because it doesn't dry skin out as badly as detergent.

Soap flakes and soap powder are just different forms of the same thing.

Go to the site below for everything you ever wanted to know about the subject. What is the difference between detergent powder and soap powder?is soap flakes same as soap powder?
There different soap flakes is natural its like grated soap but better used with warm water or you can pre soak the flakes in water 1st just so its easly broken down.....better to if you have allergies soap powder has a lot of fillers even fine glass and known chemicals.....it depends i guess if you want a healthy familly but soap flakes wash just as good......and safer for the enviroment also......hope this helps......

  • What are the risks of sniffing a Goody's or Stanback powder for a headache?

I'm just curious about this. I'm really not going to do it. Someone I know did it and said it worked just fine and they had no problems besides it burning some, but I think otherwise. What are the risks of sniffing a Goody's or Stanback powder for a headache?
Next thing ya know, you'll be asking if it's ok to shoot the stuff up...... prolly wouldn't melt down anyways.....

.What are the risks of sniffing a Goody's or Stanback powder for a headache?
The sniffing does get it into the blood system, but there can be irritation to the tissue, especially if it is done repeatedly.

The burning should tell him that damage can occur with continued use of that method.
    Why would somebody do that???
umm that wouldn't be very smart for one it would burn your nose and run down the back of your throat leaving a nasty taste in your back of your throat so i wouldn't do it if i was you

Really embarassing situation and question. Is it safe to use baby powder down there?

Ok I was once told at work by many co-workers that I smelled bad. Some made it obvious by using gestures, you know pinching their noses behind my back etc. But one of my co-workers actually said something really nasty to my face. Her exact words were, ';Well at least I don't smell like butt!!'; And then she started laughing and actually just about everyone in the restaurant (where I worked at the time) did too, including my manager. :( Well needless to say I was really embarassed and I wished the ground would have just opened up and swallowed me right then and there. I just looked down and kept doing my job. As soon as I got off work I went home took a shower and cried and then I went straight to the store and bought all sorts of soaps, deodorants and body powders. I was already a very hygenic person tho before I got these rude comments and gestures so I couldn't understand it. After this incident tho I started taking several showers a day and applying extra deodorant etc but..Really embarassing situation and question. Is it safe to use baby powder down there?
try Summers Eve Feminine wash it actually kills odor causing bacteria and it really works..powders and perfumes only mask odor they do not eliminate it...and you need to learn to stand up for yourself do not let people treat you badly because of something that is not your fault...i hope you try the feminine wash good luck !!!Really embarassing situation and question. Is it safe to use baby powder down there?
I'm very sorry to hear about this. That's very rude! Well, I heard that potassium permanganate (not sure how to spell this) also known as Condi's Crystals help if you wash with it. It helps keeps fungus away. Also, try herbal remedies, those help a lot! Your doctor might prescribe you something.

    edit:

Baby powder is not harmful to use in any parts of the body. It's gentle enough for babies, why not grown-ups?

What type of clothing do you wear? Do you wear tight under-garments? Try wearing loose-fitting clothes and cotton underwear. Also, shaving down there will help eliminate odor. I read that in an article and many women have noticed that it works. I really wish people wouldn't be so rude!!!
    People can be so ignorant.

maybe you can try baby wipes or feminine wipes when you use the restroom.
Wow, I really feel for you. While I do not share your problem, I would like to offer you any advice possible as it seems many are not to quick to respond on this question. I think you could use any product that is intended for babies. If it is safe for them, it has to be safe for you. A baby powder for example, may help. Or, I know they have female powders that are available and I am sure you could sprinkle some on the outside of your bottom area, or in your panties. That may help. Also, I know foods you eat can cause odor problems. Try observing what you eat versus how you smell. Slight changes may make a difference. Best wishes to you and people should not be so damn rude.
First of all, i am incredibly sorry to hear that people would be this immature and inconsiderate to another human being, it is not your fault that you are experiencing these problems. Okay now about the baby powder. Alot of people have linked talcum powder (baby powder) to cervical cancer. Here is what i found about it, o the link below. I would suggest using cornstarch because it is safer and it is talc free. good luck i hope this helps
Powder in the genital area contributes to ovarian cancer, do not do this. Have you tried wipes after using the restroom? Cotton underwear breathe better, no thongs, are you heavy? Sometimes it can be perspiration from that area maybe losing weight could help. I'm so sorry people are so mean.

Baby powder is NOT safe for women, causes ovarian cancer.

What is meant by .40S&W 165gr ammo. Is the 165gr the designation of the bullet weight, or the powder charge?

I just bought a Sig P229 and was just wondering whats the difference between 180gr and 165gr ammo. I see a lot of different gr numbers, and dont have a clue what they mean. What is meant by .40S%26amp;W 165gr ammo. Is the 165gr the designation of the bullet weight, or the powder charge?
The 165gr refers to the weight of the bullet itself. You will not find a powder charge weight listed on any modern manufactured ammo.

You will however find some ammo that has a +p or a +P+ rating, this refers to the power, usually related to the powder charge.

Just a slightly useful bit of info here, there are 7000 grains in one pound. What is meant by .40S%26amp;W 165gr ammo. Is the 165gr the designation of the bullet weight, or the powder charge?
Well boker is right. The grain is the bullet weight.NOT the powder.I believe the older cartriges like the 38-40 or 45-70 the last # was the powder designation. Now the 185 grain is going to deliver more energy than the 165 grain, meaning hit harder. And more recoil. The 185 gr in a 40cal is a great load.

BTW the 40cal SW has over taken the 357mag for 1 shot kills,by police records.By like .2% Both are at 97+-%.Because of the handling of the guns chambered for 40,and the amount of recoil and accuracy of the round.
the 180 grain bullet is a little heavier bullet than the 165. if your wanting to have the gun for protection id go with the 180 grain. it really doesnt make much difference until you start shooting farther away.
plain and simple how much powder id in the bullet.
165 refers to the weight of the bullet..

What is the best powder foundation for freckles?

Hey i have light skin and dark freckles, and i was wondering what kind of powder i should get. I would like one with like an spf 15 in it so my freckles dont get any darker. if you have freckles which one works best for you, and isnt cakey, but looks natural? Thanks soo much! What is the best powder foundation for freckles?
Same problem here. First, I use a moisturizer with spf 15 to solve the problem of darker freckles - or skin damage for that matter. I don't use powder, either... but foundation in the form of powder. You may not believe it, but I have tried at least 20 different foundations - expensive and cheap. My favorite so far is Cover Girl's Simply Powder foundation - and is just less than $7 at Wal-Mart. It looks and goes on like powder but absorbs and covers. You might need to play with the matching colors, but I am pretty pale with brown freckles and I use the color creamy natural. Hope that helps! What is the best powder foundation for freckles?
don't try to cover your freckles completely because it'll just look like you're wearing a mask. i'm a redhead w/ freckles (they've faded over time THANK YOU GOD) and i use bare minerals and it gives good coverage with out looking like a mask. it looks natural because you can still see some freckles, just toned down a bit. besides, some guys really like freckles-- they make you look cute and young and fun like you do a lot of outdoor athletic stuff. oh, and the mineral makeup has spf 15 protection so you get sun protection there. good luck.
Mary Kay is the best. The powder doesn't have spf, but the tinted moisturizer does. It is wonderful.
i like bare minerals. feels great on the skin. but clinique is pretty good for that stuff. good luck.
The best powder foundation that isn't cakey is Shiseido. I have freckles too. Try it out. Might work for you too!
i have light skin and dark freckles as well! i usually dont wear make up. i think they should show...not be covered up.
Age defying foundation and cover girl powder is what I use to cover up mine.
freckles r cute i sya leave 'em, but mac

Well people have there opinions, and i have had suggestions for M.A.C and Clinique. Now its time to choose. Which one has better powders, and concelers, that aren't foundations. I don't want to break out, so i'm getting rid of using foundation. Please help! THANKS.What is the best powder, that isn't foundation, but works well to cover?
Neither, Bear Minerals or CliniqueWhat is the best powder, that isn't foundation, but works well to cover?
bare minerals is the best! but mac is great too.
    M.A.C
Use bare minerals its better than mac and clinique and you can get some on ebay for really cheap:)
Covergirl clean make up pressed powder, bare minerals if you want something heavier.
    M.A.C. definitely
I also prefer Bare Minerals as appose to Mac. Mac seems heavier then the Bare Minerals. Bare Minerals is a foundation, but is light, so I don't break out like I did with Mac. Plus it save me $$$.
Minerals because you control how they go on like a powder or like a foundation. Try Skinfully Bare you can find it on Etsy.com I wear it like powder in the daytime so I don't look like I have makeup on. It covers really good.
I've been wearing Clinique's Almost Powder for a while and I love it! The powder is not too heavy, and it contains an SPF15. I also have very fair skin and have a hard time finding powder or foundation that matched my skintone, but their ';01 Fair (VF)'; shade is a perfect match. Before buying it, I received a free sample, and it has lasted me 2 months.

  • Would Gold Bond medicated powder be okay and safe to use on a dog?

My dog, a half German Shepherd and half Black Lab, has a skin condition associated with the summer heat. I do not believe it is the mange. I wanted to try Gold Bond and see if that helps relieve some of her discomfort.Would Gold Bond medicated powder be okay and safe to use on a dog?
I believe it would be ok i am a vet tech and gold bonds actually makes animal sauve that we use on cow udderes and small abrasions, but yes i think it would be ok just watch the eyes, make sure the dog isnt licking it iff r anything. if injested with humans or animals its not good and same with being in the eyes. so watch and be careful and i wouldnt use unless u can be there to watch. if you can just go get the sauve that they make from like a petsmart or pet co or a local farm and feed supply store they would have the kind made for animals that you wont have to be so watch full and anal over k. If u ask me though i think you should go and get the flea and tick powder from your local vet or farm store like i said above and try treating her with that. i dont want to worry u but u should look at some pics of what mainge looks like and determine whether she needs to go in or not. She also might have a skin infection. my lab as a kid had that problem with her ears but of course that was a ear infection but it sounds the same as what she has on her body thats y i mention her maybe having a infection id watch it carefully. ALSO IF SHE HAS ANY OPEN WOUNDS I WOULD NOT USE GOLD BOND POWDER!!! THAT WILL STING AND ITS NOT MENT FOR BEING INTERNALLY USED!!!

GOOD LUCK HOPE SHE GETS BETTER I HATE SEEING ANIMALS SUFFERING OR ANYTHING LIKE THAT!!!Would Gold Bond medicated powder be okay and safe to use on a dog?
I would ask my vet or you can get in contact with the gold bond company. http://www.goldbond.com/contact-us.html I would be really wary of using it though, at least until I talked to a vet or someone from the company. It is made for humans, but a lot of stuff that is used by humans can be used on dogs and other animals. You could try giving her a bath with some oatmeal shampoo, it may help. (You can get it anywhere that pet stuff is sold.)
I wouldn't try any type of powder for that type of condition but rather some type of ointment that is for dry skin that could be rubbed in enough that the dog would not be licking on it.The powder, even medicated, probably wouldn't do much good because it would shake it off or lick it off in minutes
Yes it is OK. Just make sure the dog doesn't inhale it. Some years ago, I had a dog that had surgery for an intestinal blockage. She had alot of irritation at the incision sight. My very close friend is a vet tech, and this is exactly what she told me to use. It also really helped alot.

it's chalk gymnastics people use it tooWhat is that white powder NBA stars rub on their hands before games?
It's talc like stuff that keeps your hands dry. Back in the day it was called ';resin.'; Like the stuff that's in a resin bag on a pitcher's mound.
I would like to say it's Razen powder, the samething pitchers use in baseball and bowlers use to keep their hands dry.
It's chalk. Just like gymnasts use. It helps with keeping sweat off their hands so they can control the ball better.

What are some non-commercial, natural air fresheners one can use either to spray around or as powder ?

I tried clove powder mixed with baking soda, that is good, and are there other tips? What are some non-commercial, natural air fresheners one can use either to spray around or as powder ?
I microwave a big bowl of water with lemon juice, orange peel, cinnamon, vanilla and cloves in it. Bring it to a boil and then cook for 5 minutes or so. This leaves a really good smell in your house and it will regenerate when you use the microwave. Plus, the steam will make it easy to clean your mic. What are some non-commercial, natural air fresheners one can use either to spray around or as powder ?
I found a great natural product made with activated charcoal which has been terrific for me all around my house. Its called fridgeIT activated charcoal odor absorbers from a company called Innofresh. I started first buying it for my fridge where baking soda wasn't working. Since Fridge It , I haven't had any problems.

I read more about what I can use this for and now, you will find it all around my house. I really like it and love fragrance free part of it. No spraying and messy powders or chemical gels either.

Anyway, I'm a big fan. I usually just get it on line from them directly at www.innofresh.com
hi..i just mix fabric softener with water in a spray bottle and use that. also use dryer sheets (from the dollar store) under couch cushions and in toss pillows that have an opening or zipper in them and any other place that i can hide them and still have the nice smell.
use whole cloves, the powder loses its' natural oil and smell quickly. but in a burlap sack to place in between couch pillows.

I also use downy dryer sheets for the same.

also you can add cinnamon, ginger, etc.

    no baking soda
I like to simmer a pan of water with apple peelings, cinn, cloves and allspice in it..bring to boil, turn to simmer and turn vent fan on
For a fresh scent (that helps to keep flies away as well) take one jar mint extract and add it to a large spray bottle of fresh water. Spray around like Febreeze.
Try baking some homemade cookies in the oven just before you have people come over. The minute they walk in the door they will notice!
    Thanks for the tip.

Another: Set out a small amount of vinegar in a bowl or jar cap.

When the sun shines on my face my foundation looks like powder and cakey why?

Sounds like you are putting too much on. Even a more expensive brand will look cakey if overapplied. When the sun shines on my face my foundation looks like powder and cakey why?
depends on if its the right make up for your face!

sometimes this happens because your face is dry and your using a powdery finish and need more of a luid texture to blend in the feel of your skin.

also, this may happen because your using the wrong color for your skin, go to a make up counter that you are interested in using (try M.A.C studio tech foundation- the colors match 100% of people and you will LOVE the feel!) and ask them to match you- they will be happy to! and give you advice..

good luck! When the sun shines on my face my foundation looks like powder and cakey why?
You are applying it too heavily. Switch to something light such as Bare Escentuals (same as Bare Minerals). You can buy the Get Started Kit for $29.99. Here is the link:

Where is some good powder boarding in or east of the Rockies?

I only have a bit of money to fly out so I was wondering where I could go and do some snow boarding in some really nice powder this winter.?Where is some good powder boarding in or east of the Rockies?
    LOL! Bristol mountain!

Use to be a good place until about 2001-02.

    Beef with Brisol

    -Season passes too expensive

    -Need glades

    -Ski Patrol are like Nazis

But is probably the best resort in the area.

But if you're going to make the effort head up to Vermont or NH.

Edit* I agree, it has been getting much better. But there was a couple of years over the exchange when it really sucked. Try listening to what I have to say because I have no interest in the company philosophy. I'm simply a customer who feels X,Y,Z.

Edit Edit* Start blowing snow later in the year. You guys let it turn to **** after your 100 days are up. I always thought that was uncool. The first 30 days were Sunset only= Lame.

Edit Edit edit*. Last time I was there (6 years ago) it left a bad taste in my mouth. I will be fair and give Bristol a second chance and ride there again this year.Where is some good powder boarding in or east of the Rockies?
Bristol Mountain, the highest vertical of any mountain between the catskills and the rockies, thats a fact i'm not just making it up, those that don't believe me can look it up

i'm not saying go here though even though its a great place to ride because we get no powder, if you're coming out to the east coast you need to go to vermont if you want to find powder, they get pounded all the time up there with snow and theres a lot of fresh stuff plus the parks are even bigger up there so you can have more fun no matter which part of the mountain you ride

EDIT: If you go here 10 times its paid for, look at killingtons prices and tell me bristol is expensive. Bristol gets better every year, this year a new lift is going in. Pretty nice to have such a good place to ride so close
anywhere east of the rockies is going to suck in comparison

Silverton Mountain in Colorado has a powder day every day, it's a small place that requires a guide because there's such deep powder most of the winter

    How to prepare Rasam powder?

Rasam is a light lentil soup eaten almost everyday in the South of India. It is almost like a staple. Eaten with plain rice, it is eaten either to start or end a meal. Many people like to drink this wonderfully spicy yet light soup-like-daal. Here is a easy powder to have on hand to make the rasam. It is also OK not to dry roast the ingredients, but the flavors do improve if you do so.

It is prepared mainly with the juices of tamarind and tomato with pepper and other spices. Lentils are added frequently and other vegetables optionally. It is eaten mixed with rice, or drunk by itself.

In a formal meal, it follows the sambar course and is in turn followed by curd rice. It differs from sambar in that it usually relies on tomatoes for its sourness rather than tamarind, and it is usually much thinner. Rasam contains many spices which are considered beneficial to health.

    1 tablespoon black peppercorn

    2 tablespoons of channa daal

    2 tablespoons of toor daal

    2 tablespoons coriander seeds

4 to 5 whole or broken red chillies

    1 teaspoon asafoetida

Dry roast the black peppercorn, channa daal, toor daal, coriander seeds and asafoetida. When the daal is pinkish red add the red chillies.

Roast for only a few seconds more. Dry grind this mixture.

I am moving into a house in October. The walls in the living room and kitchen are painted powder blue.?

It looks pretty, but my two couches are the same exact color. What color do you think I should paint the walls? The carpets are white. I am thinking white, but I'd like some more suggestions!I am moving into a house in October. The walls in the living room and kitchen are painted powder blue.?
Depends on the look you're after and what your tastes are. Decorating is pretty much like getting dressed. Naturally, there are colors that compliment each other, but have fun with it. Do you prefer pastels over darker colors? Do you like contemporary designs or more traditional? A warm cocoa brown would look great with the blue and the white in the carpet. Incidentally, had a white carpet for a few months. Unless you're going to ask everyone to park shoes at the front door, you're also going to want to consider an area rug and runners for the high traffic areas to keep the place looking great! Another idea would be to take a pillow from the sofa or small swatch from an inconspicuous area underneath and find an area rug with the colors you like then choose a complimentary color from the rug as the wall color. I've also decorated a dining room from the colors in a beautiful painting I ran acrossin the flea market, and another from the colors in some pottery I'd collected. Basically, the room should reflect Your personality. If you're still uncertain about different colors and shades, an easy idea is to go to your local DIY store and compare paint chips. Find one the color of the sofas, then experiment with the other colors you like. Just remember the color you choose will look quite different on the wall. Hope this gives you lots of ideas.I am moving into a house in October. The walls in the living room and kitchen are painted powder blue.?
Here are a bunch and remember that decorating is all about personal style and the purpose of this living room (formal entertaining, family hang-out, adults only sanctuary).

Leave the walls powder blue. Add an accent color to the trim, like a bright red or a rich brown. Bring in curtains, area rugs and accents in the complementary colors.

I like the idea of a bright red. You'll get a 50's early modern type look. Needs to be bright, like a little lighter than scarlet.

Brown with light blue is hot this year. Kinda like brown and pink have been hot for women's clothing for awhile now.

A rich, restrained gold could work as well.

Feeling crazy? Bright green. Think the color scheme of the United Football League. http://www.ufl-football.com/
I would stick with something neutral, like tan or a cream color. Darker colors might wash out the appearance of your power blue sofas, whereas something light and neutral would give them a good background to stand out on.

Can front loader washing powder be used in a top loader?????

yes, it should do ok. but if you wanted to be on the safe side, do a half load with half of the normal amount of soap and see how it works out for you. run the water first and put the powder in because in a front loader, by the time the soap gets to the clothes it has already started to be broken down. if you put the powder directly on the clothes, you might get spotting. Can front loader washing powder be used in a top loader?????

If you really need help, either choose a transparent foundation so your true color can show through. OR visit a dept. store make-up counter and ask for help. You don't have to buy on the spot, just get their advise and tell them you will think about it. You could try a few different stores and see if they all suggest the same advise. Also, you could ask when they will have any vendors (make-up reps) visiting to show their products to customers and return when the vendor is their.
Buy the color closest to what you think. Keep the reciept, if its not the color you like you can always return it.

Can you make sugar cookies without baking powder?

Okay so I have milk, eggs, vanilla extract, flour, sugar, and salt.

I don't have any baking soda or powder, but does it really affect the taste?

Also how much of each ingredient do I need and for what temperature the oven should be on??

Best answer gets 10 pts!!!!Can you make sugar cookies without baking powder?
The baking powder and baking soda are leavening agents, which make the cookies rise and gives them a light, fluffy texture. Baking soda and baking powder are not used for flavoring or taste. And no, there are no substitutes.

Without the baking powder or baking soda, your cookies will spread and will be hard and thin. And, it will most likely make a huge mess on your sheet pan.

Here is an easy sugar cookie recipe:

    INGREDIENTS

    2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

    1 teaspoon baking soda

    1/2 teaspoon baking powder

    1 cup butter, softened

    1 1/2 cups white sugar

    1 egg

    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in egg and vanilla. Gradually blend in the dry ingredients. Roll rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls, and place onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden. Let stand on cookie sheet two minutes before removing to cool on wire racks. Can you make sugar cookies without baking powder?

    look it up
Yes, give your partner analingus for four weeks, each time collecting the liquid and keep refrigerated. Then mix this with some cock cheese, and bobs your uncle. If this fails you could try fisting yourself to death. You toilet.
    1 cup sugar

    1 cup milk

    1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

    1 tablespoon butter

    4 cups oats (uncooked)

    2 cups peanut butter

Bring the sugar, milk, cocoa and butter to a rapid boil for one minute, then add peanut butter and oats until the mixture thickens. Drop the mixture by the spoonful onto waxed paper

    Let set until firm.

It's important that you get the mixture out of the pan as fast as possible or it may harden in the pan.

Makes 10 cookies (depending on size).

How do you pick the perfect color for your skin color in foundation or powder at a Drug Store ...?

I use to always wear MAC and so I had the makeup artist help me and I was a NC35 but I'm clueless to what to get and what color? when I first started wearing makeup my mom would buy me Mary Kay and so that makeup artist would find my perfect match for me too.How do you pick the perfect color for your skin color in foundation or powder at a Drug Store ...?
There are several things you could do. Take a compact mirror with you when you go to the drugstore. Stand near the door entrance (where there is natural light) and hold the bottle up to your jawline to see if it matches. You could also bring your old foundation (the one where you were perfectly matched) and try to match it with one in the drugstore. Most drugstores let you return the makeup if you picked out the wrong color. Hope this helps!

Good luck! How do you pick the perfect color for your skin color in foundation or powder at a Drug Store ...?
i dont know im an idiot at finding my shade but look for a mirror and check to see iwhich ones is closet and then check to see if it is returnable in case you get the wrong shade but i think its loreal or covergirl they have this sheet next to the foundation where you put youre hand under it and you see what color dissapers to your hand
try it out on the back of your hand
get a similar shade of loose mineral powder. mineral powder adapts to your skin and loose powder just kinda blends in. hope this helps =]
if you go to shoppers drug mart, or the body shop, or MAC or whatever if you ask the lady what shade of foundation matches you they will sit you down and profeesionaly pick a shade.

tip: go to a makeup store that has a makeup artist. pretend you want to buy foundation. once they have selected your shade, write it down and say you will be back to buy it with your money. then go to the store that you want to buy it from, find the shade and buy it there. this helps you save money LOL
Dab some foundation on your chin and blend into your face, if it's not noticeable then it's probably good.
u dont, u go to a professional store and cut out the crap
Go to which ever make-up company you prefer, and go to there websites there are helpful tips there.
I have always heard the inside of your wrist is the same shade as your face. So try it the next time you are shopping~ take either a dab if liquid ~ or a brush stroke of powder ~ to see which shade blends in most naturally -- it really has worked for me ! Good luck !

I wouldnt recoment minerals because for a lot of people with sensitive skin it irritates them.

I would suggest clinique blush, their whole blush line wont clog your pores.

(:What is a really good blush and powder that doesn't clog up your pores?
I use the Bare Minerals line that you can get at Sephora. I have very sensitive skin that is prone to break outs, but since I switched from liquid foundation to powder, my skin has cleared up a ton and I feel good knowing that I'm putting a natural product on my skin!

okay what IF i dont add it in, i mean i have everything else

but what if i jus so happen to forget about the baking powder

will it still taste good?Baking powder and baking soda?
Baking powder is what makes the cookies rise.

You can make your own baking powder if you have baking soda and cream of tartar. Simply mix two parts cream of tartar with one part baking soda.Baking powder and baking soda?
If it says to add baking powder, then add it.

It makes the food rise and I m sure u wouldn't want flat cookies.Right?
The cookies will be tough and hard. I wouldn't waste the other ingredients, just to find that I wish I had bought baking powder. Why not wait until you're shopping and get some, and then make the cookies, for the best results.
It will probably be rock hard since the baking powder adds leavening to the cookie
2 tbsp. cream of tartar, 1 tbsp. baking soda, and 1 tbsp. cornstarch can be substituted for 1tsp of baking powder.
yea , they just wont puff up . but they will taste the same.
Cream of tartar mixed with baking soda is basically the same as baking powder.

2 parts cream of tartar, 1 part baking soda.

If you don't have the materials to make ';make-shift'; baking powder, just put an extra pinch of baking soda in. It will make the cookies poofier.

You can try, and it shouldn't effect the taste too much.

Girls - What do you think of mineral powder makeup?

Does it give you the same coverage at the liquid foundations?

    Does the bronzer look fake?

Is the blush as dark as it looks in the container?

Any other imput would be helpful. I dont wanna waste the $$ on it if it really isnt all it's hyped up to be.Girls - What do you think of mineral powder makeup?
I find every brand is different - but I do really like it. I get medium coverage w/blender brush. I think a kabuki would give even more coverage.

    Not using any bronzer.

The blush is not as dark - I tap the brush, then apply blush light. I build it up when I want more color.

See if you can try some in the store - or samples from some companies online. I tried it in Sephora - found a good color match for me.

(I have combo skin, pale)Girls - What do you think of mineral powder makeup?
well,if ur going for the fake look,i think, mineral powder is not as good, cuz it looks more natural

the bronzer looks natrul 2 me

thats y i like it thet look natural

its not QUITE as dark but pretty close

i like it better, but most of the time u need a liitle more
I get better coverage with my mineral makeup. I just keep layering it until I get it right. By using mineral makeup and not liquid I am not clogging my pores.

I absolutely love my bronzer from kms mineral essentials. Everyone always asks if I just got back from vacation! The blush does not go on as dark as it looks. Mineral pigments act differently on your skin than traditional makeup. It will last you a lot longer than regular blush though and that is a plus.

I would say it is worth a try! I am so glad I tried it.
i have combo skin i get pimples occasionally and ih ave acne scars i bought bare natural from loreal I HATE IT dose not cover it was just they're didn't help at all waste of 12 dollars
I love the mineral makeup. I have used it about 7 years now. It is very natural looking and is better for my skin. My skin is oily so when I used the liquid it would run off from the oil. I use Bare Essentials. I don't know if you have one in your area but if you do go there and they will tell you what color is best for you and they will do your makeup for free.
avon has one that i have used and it works really good, that one is more everyday its not a 3 step one like bare essentials. the coverage is really well, but i guess it also depends on your skin.. also i use bare essentials and i love it, the only thing with this one is that its a 3 step one, but its worth it. go to sephora and try it or nordstrom carries it try it before you buy it.
I use bare minerals and love it!!! I just use the powder.... I dont care much for the blushes or eye wear
It really depends on the brand. I've tried many of them and only liked maybe 3. Bare Escentuals was way too shiny. Philosophy Airbrushed Canvas broke me out. Physician's Formula was okay, but I couldn't find the right color. I LOVE Aromaleigh for their color range (aromaleigh.com...they have samples so you can try it out!). Right now I'm using Mary Kay's version and I'm really liking that too, even though its not as 'all-natural' as the others. Most offer sheer/medium coverage depending on the amount of product you use. As for the bronzers and the blushes, they do look pretty dark in the containers, but the key is to use a tiny amount and work it into the bristles of your brush. Hope this helps you!
I used to absolutely love it. I happen to use the brand Bare Minerals (BE), because the granules are sifted smaller than the cheaper brands. However, I am now 33 and I have been using mineral make-up for about 7 years. As I have aged I have noticed tiny lines seem to appear as the day goes on. So, I am now putting a little liquid clear primer in my hand then pouring a little of the mineral power foundation on top and mixing it with my finger. I have been doing this for about 3 weeks now. It seems to look a whole lot smoother and my tiny lines are filled in.
I absolutely love my mineral foundation. I'm using Pur Minerals and it really works wonders for me! It doesn't look caked on like liquid foundations.

I have some bronzer, but haven't used it yet. Go to the store and try some on, see for yourself.

No, the blush isn't as dark as it looks. It's perfect. It's light, so it looks natural like you're naturally that beautiful. Not cakey and obvious that you have blush on.

You are definatley NOT wasting your money.
mineral powder is just a fancy way of saying ';dirt';, you would save money by just putting colored dirt on your face. in the 70's there used to be a product called ';indian earth';, it was just colored dirt.-blurey
I love mineral makeup. Sometimes I need extra coverage then I will use a light base of matte liquid makeup under it.

I use Aromaleigh mineral makeup from Aromaleigh.com

I have used a couple of blushes from them and they seemed pretty true to the color represented on the website.

I just started out with a very small amount of product and added more if I needed to.

No experience with bronzers though, sorry.

They have a few foundation types in tons of colors to choose from, plus a concealer , which I also sometimes use all over for my foundation, which works great when I need more coverage. They have a full line of makeup and skin care and I what I have bought I like a lot and really last a long , long time. I don't like the sheen Bare Minerals gave my skin, and Aromaleigh has one foundation that has it , and one that doesn't. Also, you can buy samples, and with any order they give you samples of something included with your purchase. No, I don't work for them , I just like the products they make and variety offered. If the price seems high at first look, I know I still have plenty of an eyeshadow I bought well over 2 yrs ago, which I think is a good value!

    Hope this helps!
I have oily skin and acne scars so I decided to try the BareMinerals starter kit. I LOVE the brushes. But the foundation didn't seem to be all the hype. It covered ';okay'; but not my acne scars... I prefer liquid because of that. But I fell in LOVE with the bronzer. You have to be careful when applying it though, all you need it just a little specs and it will brighten up your whole face!
I personally do not like it. I have tried different brands and really its just not my thing. To each there own. As far as the bronzer I never tried it but it looks nice on others. You should buy a little kit and see if you like it before buying the bronzer and all tho. You wouldnt want to waste more money if you too dont like it.
Honestly I dont like the over all results of the mineral make up. It looks and feels great when first applied. Few hours later it starts to cake up or disappear from the skin and easily wipes off too. Its called mineral since it doesnt have any oils or wax in it like the liquid foundation. So basically you are putting raw pigment on your face but nothing to keep it there or for the hold. I would suggest something with highly pigmented and longer lasting so you wouldnt have to touch up during the day.

    Hope I helped... good luck!

Tip: Mac or Joe Blasco gives great coverage if used the right way. Specially if you a fan of the flawless look without looking like you got tons of make up on.
It does give the same coverage, often better. Its lighter weight, and cleaner. Give it a try, see what you think. :)
I LOVE mineral makeup, especially kms mineral essentials. Mineral makeup is not all alike. I think I found the best.
    I really like Bare Minerals...

I have always used mac and stila foundations and i really like the Bare Minerals much better. I feel like it makes me glow. it gives good coverage but doesnt look cakey... I really like it!!! Some of the bronzer is dark but you can always just use a darker foundation as bronzer. I use warmth and really like it, i also use light as my foundation and very light as concealor. Just make sure you put it on in little circles with your brush to get full coverage. I love it!!! I think it is soooo worth the cost.

    Baking Powder and Density?

is it true that the more baking powder you add to a muffin/cupcake, the less dense it gets?Baking Powder and Density?
    Sweetie teen,

you can add as much backing powder to your muffin/cupcake as you want, and density will stay the same.

density is a unit of measurement that is a relation between mass/volume.

besides that you should use the recommended amount of baking powder, because more than that, nothing will happen to your cupcake, but you will definitively have a bad estomac ache with loose motion.

if a little bit more than recommend dosage, no harm. your cupcake will be more fluffy.

so once you make it, please send me a bite.

    bon apetit

  • I dont wanna buy protein powder so i do my own homemade shake Without the powder heres my recipe and tell me?

Recipe : milk , 90% cocoa chocolate, 2 raw eggs, and Fruits to make it taste better (lots of it)I dont wanna buy protein powder so i do my own homemade shake Without the powder heres my recipe and tell me?
well eggs are a good source of protein but there really is no need to ingest them raw... cooked eggs are perfectly fine... if you are worried about them being fried try pouching them or boiling them in the shell... also nuts are a very good source of protein any kind of nut will do... but unfortunatly the quality of protien in nuts are much less then in meat(red), poultry and fish but if you combine nuts with other plant food like in a salad then the protien will become complete... powdered protein isnt the best stuff to put in your body sinces its not natural...its not bad for you its just not as good as a natural source of protein... if you are trying to use the protein to build muscle mass then i would suggest lean fish like tuna and lean poultry like turkey and of coarse eggs... there is less risk in eat the above food products then consuming raw eggs... if the chicken that laid the egg had salmonella then the egg is infected with salmonella and the only way to get rid of salmonella is the thoroughly cook then chicken or egg.... also it is very unlikely to get salmonella from poultry anymore since the FDA got on the chickens sanitation but its still possible so be careful...I dont wanna buy protein powder so i do my own homemade shake Without the powder heres my recipe and tell me?
That sounds nasty man haha. It also sounds like more of a weight gainer than a protein shake, but it's good enough if you want to gain weight.

Except eating raw eggs is a pointless myth perpetuated by Rocky - there's no benefit in having them raw unless you like the taste of boogers.

And yes, you could just drink whole milk. Whey is made from milk plasma anyway.
raw eggs are bad news. just drink whole milk. it has protein and amino acids. if the rest of your diet is good, thats all you need. supplements are nothing but good marketing of junk
Why not just blend 12 eggs and drink that?
