What is the use of aluminum powder and how it function?

i need to know the function of it?What is the use of aluminum powder and how it function?
thermite reaction, you can use aluminum powder and rust to make the thermite reaction. It's a single displacement Al + Fe2O3 --%26gt; Al2O3 + Fe and the iron gets so hot that it's liquid.

They used to use the thermite reaction on the continental railroad to form iron in the middle fo the desert.

#1Stay away from anything with bismuth oxychloride in it. It's in bareminerals, sheer cover, avons, Arbonnes and others.

I'd suggest a good mineral oil control powder and a mineral foundation. I use the ones from LAminerals.com and they work great together. I think the Hollywood foundation is on sale for like $13 right now, and not sure how much the oil control powder is.

Mineral foundation is great for sensitive skin. No perfumes, harsh chemicals, preservatives, dyes, or talc in the one I use.

May be due to the poison in sulphur.

Like leech dies when salt is sprinkled on it.

I'm not sure but why would they do that? It's cruel and sick. Perhaps look it up on a science forum or something similar.
The smell will drive it away but I am sure that sulphur alone is not enough to kill the snake. Perhaps some water is involved, which reaces to create sulphuric acid - which probably kills it.

Jello, How does it go from powder form to gelatin?

ChemicallyJello, How does it go from powder form to gelatin?
well you see you have the square root of 36 which equals mc squared and then yo divide that by 69 and...wait why am i telling you this? you are the rocket scientist! i should be asking you this!Jello, How does it go from powder form to gelatin?
Gelatin used in Jello or bought separately forms long bond organic molecules, trapping water. When you wet with hot water the dehydrated and ground powder, it absorbs and bonds water then the molecules begin bonding with each other as it sets. It comes apart when heated due to the excess activity of the molecules and the weak bonding.
    It's alive.
it has something to do with bone marrow used in the ingredients

What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda? Can they be used interchangeably ?

No, they can't. Baking powder contains baking soda and other ingredients and causes baked products to rise. Baking soda is similar to salt. What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda? Can they be used interchangeably ?
Baking Powder and Baking Soda (Bicarbonate)

both baking powder and baking soda are chemical leavening agents that cause batters to rise when baked. The leavener enlarges the bubbles which are already present in the batter produced through creaming of ingredients. When a recipe contains baking powder and baking soda, the baking powder does most of the leavening. The baking soda is added to neutralize the acids in the recipe plus to add tenderness and some leavening. When using baking powder or baking soda in a recipe, make sure to sift or whisk with the other dry ingredients before adding to the batter to ensure uniformity. Otherwise the baked good can have large holes.

Baking powder consists of baking soda, one or more acid salts (cream of tartar and sodium aluminum sulfate) plus cornstarch to absorb any moisture so a reaction does not take place until a liquid is added to the batter. Most baking powder used today is double-acting which means it reacts to liquid and heat and happens in two stages. The first reaction takes place when you add the baking powder to the batter and it is moistened. One of the acid salts reacts with the baking soda and produces carbon dioxide gas. The second reaction takes place when the batter is placed in the oven. The gas cells expand causing the batter to rise. Because of the two stages, baking of the batter can be delayed for about 15-20 minutes without it losing its leavening power.

Too much baking powder can cause the batter to be bitter tasting. It can also cause the batter to rise rapidly and then collapse. (i.e. The air bubbles in the batter grow too large and break causing the batter to fall.) Cakes will have a coarse, fragile crumb with a fallen center. Too little baking powder results in a tough cake that has poor volume and a compact crumb.

Baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate or bicarbonate of soda (alkali) is about four times as strong as baking powder. It is used in recipes that contain an acidic ingredient (e.g. vinegar, citrus juice, sour cream, yogurt, buttermilk, chocolate, cocoa (not Dutch-processed), honey, molasses (also brown sugar), fruits and maple syrup). Baking soda starts to react and release carbon dioxide gas as soon as it is added to the batter and moistened. Make sure to bake the batter immediately.

Baking soda has an indefinite shelf life if stored in a sealed container in a cool dry place. Too much baking soda will result in a soapy taste with a coarse, open crumb. Baking soda causes reddening of cocoa powder when baked, hence the name Devil's Food Cake. What is the difference between baking powder and baking soda? Can they be used interchangeably ?
Here's a great source to check out - but it looks they you can interchange them ..good luck
No they can not be interchangeably. baking powder makes cakes and muffin ,breads rise
    idk the difference

but they CANNOT b used interchangeably!!!!!!!!
Baking powder is made up of baking soda, salt and cream of tartar.

Baking soda is a single compound.

Both act as rising agents, meaning when their chemicals combine in a receipe, they cause a reaction releasing a gas that causes the mix to rise in the heat, giving the lightness you need.

Baking soda is called for in many cookies, where baking powder is more for breads like biscuits(U.S.A. terms), and will rise too much if baking soda is called for.

You can make your own baking powder, but not baking soda, and they usually aren't interchangeable.

P.S. If you use self-rising flour, omit salt, and baking soda OR baking powder, as these are already in the flour. Just prepare as the receipe says leaving these out.

Can you turn loose powder foundation into pressed powder foundation?

Just wondering. Since you can turn pigment into eyeshadow. And if you can do you do it, is it the same way as turing pigment into eyeshadow? Thanks!

-Chessie xoxCan you turn loose powder foundation into pressed powder foundation?
Yes it's the same process :)Can you turn loose powder foundation into pressed powder foundation?
why? Wouldnt it make more sense to just buy either pressed powder or loose?
yes its the same process as pressing pigments. you just need to use rubbing alcohol and its best to use the 70% type
Add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to the compact and use a butter knife to smooth the powder into shape. Let dry before using.

Ladies, should a man use foot powder year-round or just during the summer months?

use antifungal foot powder, not just baby powder. Especially if you wear the same shoes over and over and over. Moisture from sweat takes a while to dry, so try not to wear the same shoes 2 days in a row. If you are required to wear certain footwear for work, buy 2 pairs at least.

Using antifungal foot powder keeps the athlete's foot fungus away and helps keep feet from smelling too awful, unless of course you have some sort of disorder that causes your sweat to smell worse than average.Ladies, should a man use foot powder year-round or just during the summer months?
year round cos its not just the summer months your feet get hot cos u wrap up in the colder months causing you to get hot to it also depends on your footwear xxLadies, should a man use foot powder year-round or just during the summer months?
do whatever works best for you- why would ';ladies'; know you better than you know yourself?

What is the difference between a powder coated metal, and a thermo-enamelled one?

For example in the process, cost, finished look (glossy or matt), durability etc. What is the difference between a powder coated metal, and a thermo-enamelled one?
the thermal enamel is thicker therfore more durable but its not as flexible so it depends on what its used for

for vehicles for example its better to use powder coat because of the vibration

the thermal enamel is more glossy and also more expensive of course you can pick a flat enamel as well stove grates for a gas stove have thermal enamel on themWhat is the difference between a powder coated metal, and a thermo-enamelled one?
Powder coating is essentially plastic, and flexible.

Thermo-enamel is basically glass, which is not very flexible, easy to chip, but susceptible to higher heat.

  • I want to hear from any ladies that have tried different brands of Powder Mineral foundations.?

Which brands did you like or dislike and why? Please include your age and skin type. I am having trouble finding the right one for me. My skin became itchy and irritated with dry patches from Bare Minerals.

Thank you for your help!I want to hear from any ladies that have tried different brands of Powder Mineral foundations.?
im 15. I have very very pale skin that never breaks out. its one of my best features. I love neutrogena mineral sheers because the brush lets it go on smoothly and it doest clump, yet it's all natural and doesn't clog my skin. Also Lancome has a good line of foundations that work well, but as far as keeping skin clear goes, and not having a reaction i recommend products from lush because they are all natural and organic and hand made from things like clay (from earth) and seaweed.

http://usa.lush.com/cgi-bin/lushdb/index鈥?/a>I want to hear from any ladies that have tried different brands of Powder Mineral foundations.?
You're not the only one I've heard who has irritation problems with BM. The cause for irritation from Bare Minerals is said to be from one of their ingredients, bismuth oxychloride. I've never tried them personally since I was aware of this kind of problem beforehand so I wasn't willing to take the risk.

There are two other mineral brands that I've tried and am happy with. Both brands don't have bismuth oxychloride.

Lily Lolo is a UK brand. It is a bit pricey according to my student budget but since I'm currently in the UK anyway, it's more convenient for me to go after them.

Everyday Minerals is a US brand. Very good prices, wider range and extremely addictive that you can get carried away carting everything so you end up spending a lot anyway! The only thing I don't like about them is that the delivery takes ages to get to where I am but it's not their fault and I'm a very impatient person anyway.

I'm 22 and have recently suffered an outbreak of acne eversince I switched facial products a month ago. Main reason why I started wearing mineral makeup and did a lot of research. =P Currently, my skin is extremely dry/flaky but the acne is going away slowly. I used samples from Lily Lolo for a couple of weeks while I wait for my Everyday Minerals makeup to arrive. Both brands haven't given me any breakouts and coverage is pretty good too.
    Your not the only one.

Each time I use Bare Minerals it also made my skin really itchy and it got all irritated.

I'm a male at the age of 18 with Combination and sensitive skin.

If you want a Mineral Foundation I suggest :

    Philosophy The Supernatural Airbrushed Canvas.

    It's great for sensitive skin!

You can get it at Macy's, Nordstrom or Sephora.

    Good Luck! =)
I have used the Loreal Bare Mineral type. It's inexpensive, you can find it in any drug store, %26amp; the colors are all very natural. I am 32 (no wrinkles yet, thank God), but because my skin tends to be a bit dryer, sometimes it made my face look ';cakey';, so I always applied a moisturizer 1st then applyed it %26amp; it worked awesome!! The only thing I did not like was this particular line's mineral foundation had a very funky smell to it which was bad enough for me to stop using it. This was last summer, maybe they have changed their line a bit? I would still recommend it to you though (I'm very sensitive to smells, so maybe it's just me).
If you have dry skin all mineral makeup will tend do look patchy and make your face look even dryer. I've tried Physicians Formula mineral line and it doesn't work very well, doesn't cover anything and tends to look shiny after a while....even on my dry skin. Maybelline Liquid Mineral power works really great for dry skin. Doesn't look patchy at all, and gives a great finish. Powders are more for people who have oily skin. I'm 22 with dryer skin.
I'm 18, and I have naturally oily skin. I use bareMinerals and I love it. I watched all those stupid infomercials about it and thought those people were crazy, but it did the same thing for me that it did for all of them. I don't know if you do already or not, but I suggest you use a moisturizer daily for your dry skin.
    im 17 and i have oily/combination skin

im using everyday minerals now and i love it

at first i broke out caz my skin was getting used to it and at the start it also didnt give me much coverage

but after about 2 weeks tops, my skins cleared and the coverage is really good for mineral powder
Use Bee Luscious. Their mineral foundations have no bismuth oxchloride , talc or oil. It is fabulous and will make you look amazing. You will never even feel it and it will never break you out.

Am I the only one, and is that normal in some cases? Is it normal to burp Fenugreek powder shortly after taking it?
What the hell are Fenugreek pills...that sounds almost scary. Are you supposed to be taking them during pregnancy? Is it normal to burp Fenugreek powder shortly after taking it?
from what i found u shouldnt take those unless ok by a doctor.

this is one thing i found

fenugreek is NOT recommended during pregnancy. Studies are inconculusive in humans but in animals it has caused uterine stimulation and has the same effect as oxytocin, which is the hormone that causes the uterus to contract during labour.

What's the difference between malt powder, malted milk powder, barley malt powder, and barley malt syrup?

Please include a source, if possible. What's the difference between malt powder, malted milk powder, barley malt powder, and barley malt syrup?
Malt is made from grains - most often barley. The grain is steeped in water, allowed to germinate, then kiln-dried, after which it is boiled and processed into a syrup or dry powder. It is generally used as a more healthy alternative sweetener, being about half as sweet as normal sugar (sucrose). So to answer your question malt powder and barley malt powder is the same stuff - dried barley malt. Barley malt syrup is the 'wet' version of the same stuff. Malted milk powder is a powdered milk to which powdered barley malt has been added - you'll probably know it as Ovaltine or Horlicks, which was invented as an artificial infant food by James and William Horlick in 1873.

Malt syrup is delicious and nutritious. We always have a jar of it at home and enjoy it on cereals, pancakes etc. Make your own Horlicks - warm up a pan of milk and stir in some malt. Pour it over ice-cream or make malted milkshakes. It's a great vitamin supplement too - just eat it right off the spoon. Feed great quantities of it to convalescents or those undergoing medical procedures like chemotherapy, it's easily digested and very nutritious. My son thrived on malted warm milk in addition to breastfeeding, and at 4 years old he still loves it at bedtime - in addition to eating it off the spoon whenever he gets close enough to the jar!

Use it in your cooking and baking as a substitute for sugar - as a general rule if your recipe requires 1 cup sugar, replace with 1 and 1/3 cups malt syrup and reduce the liquid (milk or water) by 1/4 cup. Add a little more baking powder or baking soda to make it lighter.

Malt is expensive at the pharmacy - rather get a tin of UN-HOPPED brewer's malt (light, medium or amber) from your local brew-shop or supermarket. Make certain it is unhopped or it will be bitter and unpalatable - and you'll be wondering just how my family and I can possibly enjoy it so much! What's the difference between malt powder, malted milk powder, barley malt powder, and barley malt syrup?
the way the ingredients are added in the most in order for instance malt powder is mainly malt in a powder form, malted milk powder is mostly malt with a milk based powder form, and barley malt powder is mostly barley first with malt in a powder form, and barley malt syrup is the main ingredient barley with malt in a syrup form not a powder.

What is the best protein powder for a woman?

I was advised to get more protein in my diet, especially after an intense workout. I need to mix whey protein powder with soy milk and I'm wondering what is the best, most affordable whey protein powder? THANKS!!What is the best protein powder for a woman?
the best bang for your $ is to get a blended protein. blended proteins contain egg and milk proteins (whey and caesin). the amino acid profiles of each complements the others providing the body with both fast and slow acting proteins which are optimum for increasing muscle and helping to reduce body fatWhat is the best protein powder for a woman?
It depends on your budget, the sky is the limit. Dont go for the 'ladies' brands, they're normally more expensive and have higher fat content.

Go to a good sports store, ask for a high protein, low carb powder. Protein should be over 90%.

You can also mix it with water instead of soy milk, this makes it easier to drink, and much better for you, but again, this depends on your goals.

Remember to drink it within 40 mins of finishing your workout. This is your 'window of opportunity' to replenish your muscles.

Good luck and happy shopping :-)

Is it safe to eat several garlic cloves,a lot of cayenne powder, and apple cider vinegar daily?

This gives me great energy, but is this safe for my digestive system etc. to do on a regular daily basis? Is it safe to eat several garlic cloves,a lot of cayenne powder, and apple cider vinegar daily?
Is that all you eat every day? You need something solid. Eat an apple, or have some vegetables. Your digestive system will thank you.Is it safe to eat several garlic cloves,a lot of cayenne powder, and apple cider vinegar daily?
I'm cajun and I know spice. Eventually the cayenne pepper will irritate your stomach and possibly give you an ulcer. Vinegar will also irritate your digestive tract.

Search the internet for fruits and veggies that will give you energy.

    Congrats on quite smoking. :)
I dont think it will harm u, alot of people take vinegar for heartburn, it kinda neutralizes the acid(IDK) but they sware by it. Pepper is good for your blood and garlic is great for alot of things.
It won't do you any harm but try not to use too much cayenne on an empty stomach and be aware that too much garlic will kill some of the natural bacteria in your gut and make you constipated
    All those things kill bacteria

I just couldn't say how long you should stay on them

What is the best protein powder for body building?

The best foods for building, believe it or not, are raw fruits and vegetables (nutrients) and chicken breast or cold water fish (protein). Be wary of prepared, refined, processed, etc... types of foods. I had to learn the hard way... I'm diabetic. Natural foods are the way to go. I don't have time or space to tell you all the reasons why. You should be able to figure it out... whether you believe in evolution or creation... it all makes sense. Either our bodies evolved around natural foods or Mother Nature created them specifically and optimally for us makes no difference. Our bodies work best on foods that our ancestors adapted to or were created for us.

If the stuff you are talking about is what I think it is, you'd probably be better off using tiny amounts in recipes which contain VERY STRONG spices. I'm thinking hot chili or spicy curries. If you want it in desserts, I'd recommend something containing ginger or peanut butter. Anything to mask that disgusting flavor.

I doubt many schools have powder puff season teams. Actually i've never heard of a school doing that.

I guess if there are schools around your area that have powder puff teams, just sign a petition and have everyone who would be interested in playing on the etam sign it... and have people who would actually pay to come out and watch sign it as well. How can i get my school to consider having a season powder puff footballl team?
Most schools don't even allow the one game your schoool does. But, don't be deterred. It would take most likely a petition from the general student body, the ladies on campus of course, of who would be in favor of the sport. You would need to diagram the long-term effects of the sport in regards to the school. In other words. would it draw money or take money from the school to support the sport. Also, take into account the ways it would affect studying for student-athletes, safety concerns, scheduling in concert with other sports or programs going on around campus, also how many games are there going to be played.

I know this sounds like alot, but these are things that if you can point out the ways a powderpuff program could benefit everyone %26amp; boost school morale, then you have a chance to make it work. Post bulletins around school, have a girls-only meeting to get public opinion on such a thing. Make a video of the next time you have a powderpuff game to show how many fans come %26amp; how the game is played to the student body %26amp; to the administration, the people you are going to have to convince.

Is it true that if you feed pigeons with baking powder they explode?

Always heard it said but surely they wouldnt explode , surely not. But do they ?????Is it true that if you feed pigeons with baking powder they explode?
Well it does kill them...I work with some sick guys and they did it to the crows in the woods at the back of our work place. They put baking soda onto bread, folded the bread and pressed the edges to seal the powder into the bread pocket.

I didn't watch...but they came in roaring with laughter.

I did however watch when they soaked bread with Chlorpromazine, an antipsychotic...The crows were flying into tree trunks..but they didn't die.Is it true that if you feed pigeons with baking powder they explode?
Cheers...It was funny to watch..You shoulda been there! Report Abuse

wow...dont know hope ur not going to try it....lol
    How sad are you? ROFL
sure is, would rather do it to a seagull though dirty bu*****.
Not true, unless you could also get them to drink some vinegar afterwards. Or have them chew on a mento then swig some cola..............
And why would one want to explode Pigeons. Isn't there enough small packages delivered from the sky's above our heads in Trafalgar square?
    Are you in third grade?
No, they just get bloated and then they eventually die because of it. The same with rice. But don't try it, that would be animal cruelty.
It's not a good idea to be torturing and killing innocent animals. Animal cruelty means jail time.
in the gremlins film they exploded a gremlin by putting it in a microwave. maybe this will work...........
Ha ha pidgeon go BOOM!!!!! lol

Why would you want to know such a thing? That's really sick!
Inexplicably yes. Although i think you will have to make sure the powder is dry I think. Not encouraging you to try it though lol
    LOL!!!
I heard that those denture cleansing tablets did the same job.

Has anyone tried this experiment yet? I hate pigeons.

(Stand well back and wear wipeable clothing....... ewwwww!)
this is to dumb but try an see
Hope so, I hate them, going to try it now!
no. they'll just get really uncomfortable, with possible diarrhea, gas and bloating, but they might die if you feed them baking powder a lot though.
    alka seltzer works better!!!
I hope so....tell me more... they are a curse, and flying rats. tell me more. i will even give you my e. mail to tell me more. How did you find that our. baking soda, I am going to try that tomorrow, so watch out, lots of booms and bangs and guts and feathers, and beaks and claws......great. really. that is awful.
    yes
Dunno. But alka seltzer will make them bloat up and dive (I've heard)
    Lets find out!!!
Naw, but if you feed them rice their stomache will. Then they die an excruciatingly slow death..... not good.
i thought it was alka seltzer. we need to ask the myth busters, haha
Ooooh...I didn't know we had kindergarten kids among us in Yahoo Answers!

Hey kiddo, feeding pigeons is a big no-no, just like talking to strangers! Don't do that or you'll get in trouble.
    Heard it works with ducks.

Why does Jello have a smell when you add the powder in the water, but when it ';gels'; the smell is gone?

The aroma is carried by small molecules of powder that are airborne.

    JELLO GELLS .. SMELL GONE

The smell of of Jello when powder is added in the water is

that the aroma is carried by small molecule of powder that go airborne

When water is added, the powder is dissolved and retained within the gel. The 'taste' of jello is in effect the the same 'smell'. but you cannot smell it when gelled ( Jello info)Why does Jello have a smell when you add the powder in the water, but when it ';gels'; the smell is gone?
when u add the hot water the powder is disolving,,when it reaches a certain cold temp. it starts to congeal and the smell its locked in the gelatin as flavorWhy does Jello have a smell when you add the powder in the water, but when it ';gels'; the smell is gone?
Gelatin comes from animal bones, so that might be what you're smelling. Most things smell stronger when they're hot or warm, so when you chill it the smell is less noticeable.
because what ur smelling is the powder in the air, not an odor put off by the jello. when it solidifies, theres no powder thus no smell
Nitrogen gas is released when mixing.

  • What are the ingredients in itching powder?

I had read on one site that said it uses finely ground fiberglass. However, I am not sure how official that one was. I tried to see if I could find an MSDS for it. Theoretically, there should be one. However, the Itching Powders I found in Froogle were made outside of the country (at least on the packages that I could read where it was manufactured).

I found another site that tells how to make it yourself using hairs off of a plant.

    http://www.blamepro.com/how/how1.htm

I even found one site that said that it was made from hairs from a spider. That was a dead link, but I was able to read it in the decription. A tarantula has these hairs that are called nictating hairs. They can be used to repel animals trying to eat the tarantula. They are rather itchy.

I also remember a cactus that had extremely small hairs on it that felt like those from the tarantula.

Bare Minerals is the absolute best. Its light, its compact, its natural, it even has a resonable price for the quality! They even have a $60 ($174 value) starter kit including everything you need. Powders, brushes, etc. I've been using it for monthes now and I haven't found any reason at all to dislike it. It comes in every perfect shade, and has a 4.3 rating out of 5!

Here are some helpful reviews about the product from other Sephora Shoppers:

    1. ';I was never taught how to apply makeup before age 25. This product is awesome. It shows you how to do everything!! It even includes the supplies. I highly recommend this product.';

    2. ';I was a little skeptical about bare minerals and how well it could cover. I have a lot of blemishes and this stuff can really conceal my imperfections without looking overdone. I like the natural look it gives me and it matches my skin tone perfect. Definitely worth the money!';

    3. ';I will never buy another starter kit than this one!! It feels like I don't even have make-up on. It is flawless.';

    4. ';My new favorite product! There are so many reasons to buy. You don't even feel like you have make up on, yet your skin is so perfect. I will never buy another powder, ever. I'm hooked on Bare Minerals.';

    5. ';This foundation is perfect! I love how it goes on so easily and doesn't make me look ';made up';. It's not heavy, and I love the way it makes my skin feel. I won't buy or use any other foundation!';

Is the Physicians Formula Powder Palette庐 Multi-Colored Face Powder in green any good?

I use the Physicians Formula Powder Palette in beige tones and it works quite well. I haven't tried the green but imagine that if your skin tends to be flushed/pinkish it would help to even out your skin tone.

Baby powder is very safe and I know models who prefer it over cosmetic powers.

It does not clog pores and will absorb the excess oils, but it tends to make you look white, which some people prefer.

What is the temperament of a Powder Puff dog and are they hypoallergenic?

Do you mean a Chinese Crested?

No dog is hypoallergenic. Some dogs tend to have less reactions to them, but none are hypoallergenic. If you are allergic to dogs (or someone in your family is), then it's best not to get any dog. Remember, it's the saliva and dander, not the fur, so getting a Powder Puff Chinese Crested does not solve the problem.

Chinese Cresteds are high-strung dogs that need lots of attention. They have to be 100% indoor dogs and really shouldn't be left alone for more than 4 or so hours on a regular basis due to their tendency to have Separation Anxiety. Of course, each individual dog is different.

If you are considering this breed, it's time to read some official websites and ask some responsible breeders or owners about the dog. This is not a breed specific website, so the answers you get will not be that great (for the most part).

    Places to start:

ACCC Code of ethics (all CC breeders need to abide by this): http://accc.chinesecrestedclub.info/page鈥?/a>

Questions to ask a breeder (sub in your breed):

****If you are not talking about Chinese Cresteds, much of the information for ANY toy dog remains the same. Visit http://www.akc.org , click on ';breeds';, find your breed, and then on the left click on ';National Breed Club'; and ';Breed Rescue';. If there's a ';Breed Flyer'; you'll want to read that as well. Be sure to also read the good breeder links I've lsted above.

Good luck to you in your search. : )What is the temperament of a Powder Puff dog and are they hypoallergenic?

What is the temperament of a Powder Puff dog and are they hypoallergenic?
yes, most powder puffs are hypoallergenic. i played it safe and got a hairless. i love him to death !
They are properly called Chinese Crested dogs but they can also be called powderpuffs if they are born with a normal layer of hair (re.gular crested dogs have a fringe of hair over the head, feet, and ears while the rest of the body is hairless)

They are generally calm but no dogs i don't think are hypoallergenic.
My dog is a Bichon Frise X. Most people with allergies choose them or poodles. They have a lovely temperament but are quite independent.
I assume you are referring to the Bichon Frise. They are like babies, affectionate and so want to please. Their dander is such that allergies are minimal. They don't shed either.
';powder puff dog'; is to general a term.

are you asking about a pomeranian, poodle, bichon? What?
If you are talking about a Bichon, they are hypoallergenic and pretty much very loyal dogs, easy going.
In every litter of Chinese Crested puppies, there is at least one puppy that has a full coat. These are called Powder Puffs. A breeder/handler at a dog show told me that this hairy puppy helps to keep it's naked litter mates warm. Both the naked and the Powder Puff are considered cheerful and friendly.

What is a really good powder or foundation?

one that blends well with your skin and doesn't make your face look all chalky and pale? What is a really good powder or foundation?
The word is mineral foundation, it's been popular for years with the natural living sort, you know the environmentalists, some may think of them as tree-huggers but as they normally avoid commercial products due to harmful ingredients they tend to be very well informed about things such as skin care, thus they are great to get beauty tips from. Evidently major brands did just that as they are all now hopping on board by bringing out their own mineral ranges.

Mineral foundation is free from harmful ingredients which also means no preservatives, perfume, talk or oils which makes it so much better for your skin. The powder is lighter so feels more comfortable and looks more natural, not to mention the fact that it does not clog up your pores like many liquid or powder foundations can. A mineral foundation gives far better coverage than other foundations, it's not like liquid foundation that you pile on to try to hide a spot just to find it stands out even more and looks caked on 鈥?eek! For the acne prone mineral foundation is perfect because it gives very good coverage even over swelling or scaring, the fact it is a mineral foundation means it won't make you break out like a liquid, moose or conventional powder foundation would so helps prevent acne.

I'd recommend Bare Minerals SPF15 Foundation from Bare Essentials which costs 拢17.50 however mineral foundation tends to last longer than liquid so it works out about the same as any other type of foundation. Otherwise Maybelline Pure Foundation Mineral, this is cheaper and still does the job just as well 鈥?despite being mineral foundations some major brands seem heavier so it's obvious they are adding additional ingredients, where as Maybelline's mineral range is still light and low in additional ingredients. If you live in the US I believe they also have a pressed powder version, which should be making it over here to the UK in the next few months.

Another suggestion if you need additional coverage or find foundations too heavy or unnatural, try tinted moisturizers 鈥?they are hard to get as now everywhere only seems to sell self-tan moisturizers, but there is one brand aimed at teens which is really good and cheap too. The brand is Nivea Visage Young Be Beautiful tinted moisturizer, this actually gives good coverage so you could use this instead of your normal moisturizer and rather than a liquid foundation, then just use a light cover of powder foundation like mineral foundation. It evens out tone without having to bog your skin down with layers of foundation, then powder on top sets your make-up and prevents shine. What is a really good powder or foundation?
MAC is light, and it gives you the glossy feling without feeling like you are covered in makeup. The brush is made with 90% real hair, and helps to blend the cream naturally with your skin. Bare essentials works great, but can give an overly powdered feeling. It also wears off easily.
Diorskin Sculpt Foundation as well as Diorskin Eclat Satin are good foundations.

well. i just use all the cheap stuff.

but i just got this concealer,, cuz ive found that foundation doesnt work as well, and i think it's by clinique.
Bare minerals. Also cover girl has a mineral loose powder I really like too. They look natural and not at all dry.
I use clinique. They are really good products. It's well worth it. !!!! good luck!
i really like bare essetials powder foundation its light but doesnt make u look like u r painted lol

How do you ';apply your powder eyeshadow wet'; ?

I just bought an eyeshadow (goddess/urban decay) and aside from applying normally, i can use it wet it too?

How do you apply it wet?How do you ';apply your powder eyeshadow wet'; ?
First, you need to decide what you want to use to make the eyeshadow ';wet'; . You can either use water, mixing medium , or eye drops like visine. I suggest you use mixing medium which is a mixture of 3 parts of water to 1 part of glycerin. Think of it as water coloring . The more water you add to the paint, the less saturated the color gets . But if you don't have glycerin then use eye drops or water.

Anyways, you don't want to apply the water directly to your eyeshadow because it might seal your eyeshadow over and it will be ruined. Instead, Get some eyeshadow onto your brush then put a drop of water into a water bottle lid or some other plastic flat surface and use your brush to mix the eyeshadow and water together.

Then, you can apply it normally onto your eyelid.

You can also use this method to use your eyeshadow as an eyeliner. Just use an eyeliner brush . Goddess is a good color to line your eyes because it is a dark blue.

Applying your eyeshadow wet makes it more vibrant. How do you ';apply your powder eyeshadow wet'; ?
Run your makeup brush under luke warm tap water then squeeze out the extra water. Dab or rub it in the shadow then ';paint'; you eye lid.

I apply all my shadow this way for a more vibrant look - I use a fan brush to fade the lines.
Use a separate applicator and wet it a bit before dipping into the powder.
All you have to do is take your applicator or brush and wet it with tap water. If you are in an area without any sink nearby you can use toner or even non-oily eyemake-up remover too.
Yes, Use a separate brush or applicator and lightly wet it. It will give you a deeper look.
Use warm water and apply more.. it gives you a dramatic look thats definetly hawt! =]]
