will it still taste good?Baking powder and baking soda?
Baking powder is what makes the cookies rise.

You can make your own baking powder if you have baking soda and cream of tartar. Simply mix two parts cream of tartar with one part baking soda.Baking powder and baking soda?
If it says to add baking powder, then add it.

It makes the food rise and I m sure u wouldn't want flat cookies.Right?
The cookies will be tough and hard. I wouldn't waste the other ingredients, just to find that I wish I had bought baking powder. Why not wait until you're shopping and get some, and then make the cookies, for the best results.
It will probably be rock hard since the baking powder adds leavening to the cookie
2 tbsp. cream of tartar, 1 tbsp. baking soda, and 1 tbsp. cornstarch can be substituted for 1tsp of baking powder.
yea , they just wont puff up . but they will taste the same.
Cream of tartar mixed with baking soda is basically the same as baking powder.

2 parts cream of tartar, 1 part baking soda.

If you don't have the materials to make ';make-shift'; baking powder, just put an extra pinch of baking soda in. It will make the cookies poofier.

You can try, and it shouldn't effect the taste too much.
