Exactly how much salt needs to be added to garlic powder to equal garlic salt?

the recipe calls for 1 tsp garlic salt to taste but i only own garlic powder.





i don't know if mixing salt with garlic powder is the same as garlic salt but i hope it is.

I would mix up one teaspoon of garlic powder and 4 teaspoons of salt, then measure out your teaspoon of garlic salt from your mixture, and save the rest for later.


It's too hard to measure a tiny fraction of a teaspoon otherwise.
