Is there really a pill or powder that can decrease dog dander??

BC ive got a tiny reaction to dogs. If i put this on a single coated dog, will my allergicness (LOL) decrease? Just wondering. Is there really a pill or powder that can decrease dog dander??
Cassie: It is not the dander that causes your allergic reaction to dogs. It is a protein found in the saliva and urine. As the dog relieves itself and licks itself, the protein adheres to the skin and fur. It then dries up and can be shed either alone or with a bit of skin or fur. When you inhale this protein, it causes the production of histamine, because your immune system has a defect that keeps it from properly identifying proteins. There is not a pill to stop the production of the protein, but there are things you can do to denature (neutralize) the protein. You can wash the dog with a special shampoo called PetPlus. It is made by the Alkaline Labs, I will give you a link to their site. You can also wipe the dog down with some stuff called Allerpet/D that will also neutralize the protein. I will give you a link to their site also. It is possible to live with dogs and dog allergies. Good Luck!
